Support Group Facilitation
Due to the COVID19 Pandemic all in-person support groups are suspended. We will continue to serve you online through Zoom.
Shared experiences can help us support our healing, growth and recovery from difficult situations. In fact, it's what we call a protective factor, that helps us to become resilient after difficult times. Our facilitator, Jessica, leads support groups that embrace a holistic mindfulness, trauma informed, positive wellness, supportive approach that incorporates the following:
Coping skills and strategies
Therapeutic and Expressive Art creation
Spiritual or secular foundations
MBTI Grief and Loss Groups
It may be hard for you to feel optimistic about the future right now. If you’ve lost a spouse, child, family member, or friend, you’ve probably found there are not many people who understand the deep hurt you feel. This can be a confusing time when you feel isolated and have many questions about things you’ve never faced before. Grief and Loss Groups, facilitated by our Certified Grief Counseling and Trauma Specialist will help you have a space to talk about what you are needing and be supported in a universal community of spirit. Therapeutic Art activities are included as often it is easier to access the arts than figure out the right words to say what we want to. Mindfulness practices are taught as well as coping skills.
Our current grief and loss group, Navigating Loss, in Kansas City is beginning February 23rd from 4-5 at Hillside Christian Church. We will meet once a month, the 4th Sunday of each month at this time. It is open to the public.
Teacher Trauma Support Group
If you are a teacher who has experienced trauma in the classroom or school or would like to learn more about trauma and resiliency practices in the classroom, please join us in or online support group on Facebook. We will provide positive support to each other, learn coping skills, mindfulness strategies and stress management techniques. It is not a site to go to get professional help or diagnosis. It is a positive, strengths based support group. We have additional support groups that we facilitate. Please see our Support Group page for more information.
MBTI Addictions Groups
We offer addictions based groups online and live that focuses on a strengths based, integrated wellness, expressive arts based approach. We include mental health integrative medicine, which includes diet and nutrition coaching specifically for individuals in recovery. The groups we choose to facilitate are:

I do not facilitate AA or NA types groups.
